Pope Francis marks Palm Sunday by recalling victims of conflicts around the world

The suffering of people around the world was on the Pope’s mind this Palm Sunday, as he made a surprise appearance at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. Francis, who is 88, recalled victims of conflict around the world, calling on faithful to “see the Lord” in the faces of those “torn by war and misery.”
