During a campaign stop in Brampton, Ont. on Thursday, Liberal leader Mark Carney vowed – if his party is re-elected at the end of the month – to “reinvigorate” Canada’s gun buyback program and revoke licenses for individuals convicted of violent offences. Furthermore, he promised strict sentencing guidelines and tougher bail laws for those convicted of home invasion, carjacking and trafficking.
