During a campaign stop in Brampton, Ont. on Thursday, Liberal leader Mark Carney dismissed a Globe & Mail report that said he had met with “pro-Beijing” group Jiangsu Commerce Council of Canada (JCCC). “Never heard of this group. Certainly didn’t have a set up meeting with this group. Check your sources before you write things like that,” Carney told a Globe reporter.
