‘This is amateur hour!’: Trump trade official berated by House Democrat over tariffs

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer was grilled and at times berated by House Democrat Rep. Steven Horsford on Wednesday during a Ways and Means Committee hearing on trade. “So the trade representative hasn’t spoken to the president of the United States about a global reordering of trade?” Horsford questioned. “Yes, I have — I’ve been in the hearing with you, sir,” Greer replied. “But yet he announced it on a tweet. WTF. Who’s in charge?” an incredulous Horsford asked. “This is amateur hour.”
