Signal chat leak contains ‘no classified information’, White House insists

Speaking Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sought to dispel concerns from media and the public after ‘The Atlantic’ editor was accidentally included in a sensitive group discussion – on the encrypted Signal app – about recent U.S. military plans to eliminate Houthi rebels in Yemen. Leavitt said that there was “no classified information transmitted,” calling concerns on the matter a “sensationalized story” by “mainstream media.”
