Echoing sentiments he earlier expressed on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday seemed to pivot his stance on the Russia-Ukraine war somewhat, expressing concern that Russia was “bombing the hell out of [Ukraine]” and condemning Russia for this, saying “you can’t do that.” Trump did maintain his position that Ukraine “doesn’t have the cards” and any negotiation for a lasting peace must be with Russia as they “have the cards.”
