Freeland distancing herself from Trudeau’s policies, facing uphill battle in Liberal leader race

Former deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland has officially thrown her hat in the ring to replace Trudeau as the next Liberal leader. Her dramatic resignation as finance minister set the stage for Trudeau to eventually step down. But Freeland faces an uphill battle to distance herself from some of Trudeau’s signature policies.
