Canadian icon Terry Fox will soon be celebrated by making his way onto the $5 bank note, the federal government announced Monday. In the early 1980s, Fox raised $24.7 million for cancer research by running his "Marathon of Hope" across Canada on a prosthetic leg. His run was interrupted just past the half-way point when his cancer reached his lungs, and ultimately took his life.
