The federal government’s GST “holiday” program officially kicks off on Saturday. It means no GST for a long list of products and services. The tax break hasn’t come without criticism, however, mainly from merchants who’ve had to rapidly adjust their point-of-sale terminals with just a few weeks notice. Kyle Benning explains.
