BC Ferries submits plan for five new vessels

BC Ferries recorded its highest-ever peak season traffic this year, and says demand is only growing. The chief executive announced on Friday the ferry service is one step closer to getting five new vessels built. But as Aaron McArthur reports, it’s unlikely any local shipbuilders will be awarded the lucrative contract.
