Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) officials said on Tuesday they have searched and are patrolling the Allen Physics Laboratory at the University of Manitoba’s Fort Garry campus, following reports of a man armed with a “big knife.” Const. Claude Chancy said they were unable to find the suspect, adding that they don’t believe there is a threat to public safety any longer and that the investigation has been turned over to the major crimes unit.
