U of A medical breakthrough could one day cure deadly cancers

Genetic medicines can help cure or prevent diseases – but they’ve long been inhibited by the body’s natural defense mechanism — the liver. Now, a medical advancement at the University of Alberta had found a carrier that will allow the medicine to get to its intended destination in the body. Sarah Ryan explains.
