Northumberland OPP say both drivers died following a two-vehicle collision early Sunday just south of village of Hastings.
Northumberland OPP say emergency crews responded just after midnight to a collision on County Road 25 south of County Road 35.
Police say one driver – a 41 year old man from Douro-Dummer township – was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 32-year-old woman from Oshawa driving the other vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
No other occupants were in the vehicles.
County Road 25 was closed all morning as OPP investigated.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
