Residents who braved the storm as Hurricane Milton hit Florida say they were caught off guard when unexpected tornadoes hit areas before the hurricane itself. “I was watching the news and the news said hurricane coming, so prepare for the hurricane. I tried to get prepared for the hurricane, then the tornado hit,” said St. Lucie County resident Calvin Lee Hamilton.
