Members of Indigenous communities have for years, warned that deficiencies in the provincial healthcare system are adversely affecting them. They say it’s particularly true for those living in urban centres like Montreal. Some of those problems are being now being addressed, thanks to a couple local Indigenous-led initiatives, but as Phil Carpenter reports, advocates point out that’s just one step in a long journey.
