The conflict in the Middle East escalated on a third front Sunday with Israel striking its Houthis enemies in Yemen. This comes on the heels of the assassinations of Hezbollah’s top leaders in Lebanon this weekend and against the backdrop of the ongoing battle in Gaza. There are urgent calls for diplomacy but bombardments are fueling fears of a full scale regional war. Redmond Shannon reports. From Florida to Virginia, millions in the American southeast are confronting the scale of their losses. They’ve seen hurricanes before, but none like Helene. Authorities said they were still in active search and rescue mode in many states, often without phone service, Internet access or any other kinds of communication. David Akin has more.
