Speaking on Ottawa on Thursday, Dr. Paul Kershaw, a professor at the University of British Columbia and founder of the youth advocacy group ‘Generation Squeeze’ warned that in his view, Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet intended to hold Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “hostage” when it came to spending on issues related to Canada’s youth in the federal budget. Dr. Kershaw was in Ottawa to discuss the release of a report from ‘Generation Squeeze’ in response to Canada endorsing the United Nations’ Declaration on Future Generations.
