Earlier this year, a mother from Fort Saskatchewan was killed in a tragic crash. Kassandra Gartner’s vehicle hit a spike belt that RCMP had put down to stop a fleeing U-Haul. When she stepped out of her vehicle, the U-Haul truck struck and killed her. Carla Skibinsky and Cheri Lund joined us on Global News Morning Edmonton to talk about how they hope to continue the work Gartner did for the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank, ensuring the memory of the 45-year-old mother of three stays alive.
