Montreal byelection: Historically Liberal riding sees tight race, polls suggest

MPs are back in action in Ottawa, returning to a parliament where the power dynamics of the minority government have changed. Now that the NDP have broken up with the Liberals, the Conservatives hope to trigger a non-confidence motion and an election as soon as possible, and the Liberals are sharpening their attacks.
