Matthew Gaudreau’s wife Madeline reflects on late husband’s love: ‘Born to be a dad’

At the funeral for NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau on Monday, Matthew Gaudreau’s pregnant widow Madeline Gaudreau said during the eulogy that her late husband “was born to be a dad” and that he was her best friend. Madeline also addressed her sister-in-law Meredith Gaudreau, saying that she was sorry to “forever share this bond” and that “the boys could not have picked stronger women as wives and mothers of their children.”
