A day after battering southern China, typhoon Yagi made landfall in northern Vietnam on Saturday, bringing torrential downpour and winds of dangerous speeds. The super typhoon is being classed Asia’s strongest in 2024, and has killed at least 22 people between Vietnam, China and the Philippines within the last week.
