Travis King, the American soldier who fled to North Korea in July 2023 is expected to plead guilty to five of the 14 charges laid against him — including one for desertion — in September, according to his attorney. The other nine offenses, including possession of sexual images of a child, will be withdrawn and dismissed under the terms of the deal.
