A new United Nations (UN) report is criticizing Canada’s temporary foreign worker’s program, calling it a breeding ground for modern slavery. It’s a program that allows employers to hire foreign workers to fill temporary jobs, when they can’t find qualified Canadians. The Migrant Workers Alliance for Change says more needs to be done for foreign workers.
