This time last year looked very different in the Central Okanagan. Across West Kelowna, plumes of smoke were seen from across the region, as the threat of a massive wildfire threatened to jump Okanagan Lake, into Kelowna.
As Victoria Femia reports, The McDougall Creek Wildfire became the blueprint for how firefighters battle wildfires, and how officials handle residents who are forced to flee.
