Peterborough city council rejects surprise motion to halt construction projects to help fight homelessness

Peterborough city councillor Keith Riel provided a surprise motion during Monday’s meeting, aiming to put approved construction projects on hold.
The goal was to decrease the financial burden of the 2025 budget, making way to fund more housing solutions to help fight the city’s homelessness issue.
