In response to a question about reports of Iranian-backed cyberhackers targeting Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, U.S. State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said Monday that the latest attempts to interfere in U.S. elections are “nothing new for the Iranian regime.” The FBI said Monday it was investigating the claims, while the Iranian government has denied the allegations it is involved in the hack.
