‘Criminal thugs’: UK rioters jailed for violent disorder as counterprotests grow

With an increased police presence across the U.K., arrests were made in connection to violent disorder at anti-immigrant riots that followed fatal stabbings at a childrens’ school in Southport on July 29. According to police, more than 400 people have been arrested across the country, including many with criminal backgrounds.
