New smell reports out of UBC are revealing the need to expand urban air quality monitoring in Vancouver.
The data comes from a smell app, created by UBC researchers that help track reports of odours throughout the Greater Vancouver region.
One year of app data has revealed that rotten and chemical odours dominated most subsmissions to the app.
Joining us now is Dr. Amanda Giang, senior author of the study and assitant professor at UBC’s Department of Mechanical Engineering on what this means for Vancouver’s air.
