U.S. President Joe Biden joined the families of freed prisoners on an emotional phone call after a historic swap, that saw American journalist Evan Gershkovich and ex-marine Paul Whelan released from Russian detention. “Every parent, child, spouse and loved one who joined me in the Oval Office today has been praying for this day for a long time,” Biden said during the call.
