Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran on Wednesday, according to officials from the Palestinian militant group and Iran. Though it is unclear who killed the 61-year-old, Hamas has pointed its fingers at Israel, saying it was the result of “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence.”
