It appears the local tourism industry is being hit hard this year. Tourism operators are reporting a sharp decline in the number of visitors to the Central Okanagan and while there may be a number of factors involved, including the economy and fear of wildfires, as Klaudia Van Ememrik reports, some strongly believe its the crackdown on short term rentals that’s to blame.
