Christa Deguchi won Canada’s first gold medal at the Paris Summer Olympics on Monday. A two-time world Champion, Deguchi is now also the first-ever Canadian Olympic Champion in Judo, after defeating South Korea’s Mimi Huh to capture the top prize in the sport.
