Taking questions from media on Monday, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh was asked about his reaction to President Joe Biden withdrawing as the Democratic candidate in the 2024 U.S. election. Singh called the “idea” of a Kamala Harris presidency “incredible” because as a father to two daughters, seeing a racialized female president in office would be inspirational. He also praised Biden for his track record standing up for workers’ rights as president.
