Former president Donald Trump’s new running mate, J.D. Vance, formally accepted his nomination Wednesday evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Republican National Convention. Vance said to the crowd “instead of a day of celebration this could have been a day a heartache and mourning,” as he recounted the attempt on Trump’s life on Saturday. Vance went onto say “I officially accept your nomination to be vice president of the United States of America.”
