Speaking at the White House briefing on Monday, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said that in the aftermath of a shooting at a rally for Donald Trump, U.S. President Joe Biden has directed the Secret Service to enhance protection for Trump as well as Robert Kennedy Jr. and Trump’s newly-announced running mate JD Vance. Mayorkas added that this will include additional personnel, protective resources, screening technology and tactical support at the Republican National Convention (RNC).
