Shelter intended for Ahuntsic has local residents upset, vowing to fight

It’s a situation that seems to be repeating itself regularly of late. Montreal residents ripping into city leadership for ignoring their concerns while planning a new resource for unhoused people. As Global’s Dan Spector reports, this time it’s happening in Ahuntsic, where the city announced plans for a 24-7 shelter in the middle of a residential neighbourhood just steps from a daycare and a residence for nuns.
