During the second day of visiting President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Russia, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about efforts to find a peaceful solution to the war in Ukraine. He told Putin that a solution "cannot be found on the battlefield" and that the death of innocent children was "painful."
