A man faces two counts of attempted murder following what police say was an incident of intimate partner violence in downtown Peterborough on July 6.
Around 11:30 p.m., emergency crews initially responded to a report of gunshots at the Brock Towers apartment building.
They found a window pane of an apartment patio damaged. One person was injured by particles from a shotgun shell.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man at gunpoint and charged with two counts of attempted murder with a firearm.
The man was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday.
