Hurricane Beryl hits Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, heads toward Texas

Hurricane Beryl made its way through the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to reach Texas by late Sunday, bypassing Mexico’s Yucatan beaches with minimal impact. After causing devastation in the Caribbean as a Category 5 hurricane, the storm weakened and spared Mexico from casualties.
