Catholic Church ordered to pay $104M to abuse victims in Newfoundland

In Newfoundland and Labrador, nearly 300 victims who suffered abuse by the Catholic clergy finally know how much the Archdiocese will have to compensate them. A bankruptcy proceeding has determined the church must pay out $104 million for sexual and physical abuse cases dating back decades. But as Heidi Petracek explains, it’s money the now-bankrupt Archdiocese doesn’t have.
