Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Mexico’s coast, near the resort of Tulum, as a Category 2 storm after leaving a trail of destruction through the Caribbean. Beryl caused widespread damage to several Caribbean islands, including extreme damage to the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique where 70 and 97 per cent of buildings were damaged, respectively.
