After a woman was accused of attempting to drown a three-year-old Muslim child in a swimming pool in Euless, Texas, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called for authorities to investigate the incident as a hate crime. Police first arrested 42-year-old Elizabeth Wolf on May 19 after witnesses said the woman made verbal racial attacks toward a young Muslim family swimming in an apartment complex pool in the Dallas suburb.
