Speaking to people at Ottawa’s Canada Day celebration on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland reflected on Canada’s positive attributions, and reflected on Canadians’ kindness. “Today is the one day of the year when we can set aside our national modesty and proudly declare that our Canada, our true north strong and free, is the best country in the world,” she said.
