Forty per cent of the 37,500+ estimated deaths in Gaza – amid the Israel-Hamas conflict – are children, according to Save the Children International. “What we know is that at least 17,000 children are estimated to be unaccompanied or separated from surviving family members and at least 4,000 children are likely to be buried under the rubble,” Alexandra Saieh, a representative for the children’s rights charity, told reporters on Friday.
