An Alberta foster-based dog rescue is desperately trying to save dogs whose lives are in jeopardy in an overcrowded high-kill shelter in California. In Alberta, BARCS Rescue has found homes for more than 2,500 dogs who were at serious risk of being euthanized, but they need more.
