Police in Winnipeg announced on Wednesday that a male was arrested on Tuesday after being suspected of flagging down a vehicle before assaulting and attempting to carjack a victim, who turned out to be an off-duty police office. The officer sustained injuries before two other officers were able to help put the suspect in custody.
