On Monday, Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek commended the citizens of Calgary for their efforts to reduce water consumption following a recent water main break. “Calgarians, you have been incredible in cutting your water usage,” she said, adding that preliminary numbers indicated a decrease from 650 million litres to 457 million litres of water consumption on Sunday. “Really good news that our supply continues to be strong because you have reduced the amount of water that you’re using,” Gondek added.
