In the House of Commons on Tuesday, NDP MP Charlie Angus questioned whether a 400-kilometre pipeline along the Athabasca River and a Pathways Alliance project will be exempt from a federal environmental assessment with details kept secret. Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault responded by saying that it has “been very clear that there will be no special pathways” and that the project would be evaluated as other federal projects.
