A ceremony was held at the QEII in Halifax on Thursday, as a heart disease clinic was renamed in honour of Jordan Boyd, a 16-year-old hockey player who died as a result of an undiagnosed inherited heart condition in 2013. As Megan King reports, efforts to raise awareness around heart health by Boyd’s family throughout the years is creating life-saving chances – while keeping his memory alive.
