Toronto votes to maintain e-scooter ban despite inability to enforce sales or usage

Years after voting to ban the use of electric scooters in Toronto, tens of thousands are estimated to be in use in the city. Despite a push to approve them with the purpose of increasing regulations to crack down on poor behavior, council voted to uphold its decision to remain out of the province’s e-scooter pilot.
